What Logos knows about you
Last updated 28 September 2026
Logos gathers reading you choose into magazines and editions. We need your reading material, source choices, and delivery settings to do that. This policy describes what we handle, including the access you grant if you connect Google Drive.
Who operates Logos
Logos is operated by Lakonic Studio. Contact us at corey@lakonic.dev with questions or data requests.
What we collect
Account and sign-in
When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the identity information that provider shares with us, such as an account identifier, email address, and, when available, your name. Apple may give us a private relay address. We store your account settings, including time zone and edition schedules. We do not receive your Google or Apple password.
Reading and sources
We store newsletters sent to your Logos inbox, including message text, sender information, and attachments. We also store the links and documents you add, RSS feed addresses and details from OPML imports, source and magazine assignments, fetched readings, and the editions we make from them. Material you send may include personal information about you or others.
Delivery and notifications
We store the delivery addresses and destinations you set, generated editions, delivery attempts and outcomes, and device push tokens if you turn on delivery notifications. A receiving mail server accepting an edition does not prove that Amazon placed it in a Kindle library.
Google Drive and Dropbox connections
Connecting Google Drive grants Logos the
drive.file permission. We use it to let you
select or create a destination folder, confirm access to
that folder, and upload the finished EPUBs you ask Logos to
deliver. We store the linked account identifier, selected
folder information, upload receipts, and an encrypted
refresh token needed for later deliveries. Logos does not
scan your other Drive files, import their contents, or send
them to an AI provider. Your Google sign-in identity is used
to authenticate your Logos account, not for advertising.
A Dropbox connection similarly lets Logos select a delivery folder and upload your editions. Dropbox requires a Full Dropbox app for Kobo-folder delivery, but Logos uses that access for the folder you choose and the related account and upload checks. We store connection and delivery records as described above. Disconnecting a cloud account stops future use of that connection; it does not immediately erase its stored account record or encrypted token.
Website and service logs
Our servers receive ordinary request information, such as IP address, time, path, and error details, to operate and protect the service. This website uses no third-party analytics, advertising pixels, or tracking cookies. The iOS app has no advertising or third-party analytics SDK.
The early-access form on this website opens an email draft; it does not silently submit your address to a signup database. If you send the draft, we receive that message through our email provider so we can respond about access.
How we use reading material
We use it to acquire and organize readings, prepare editions, deliver them to your chosen destination, show delivery state, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot failures. Automated editorial processing may send reading text and relevant metadata to Google Vertex AI (Gemini) or Anthropic (Claude) for tasks such as classification, summaries, and choosing which linked articles to expand. Google Drive files are not read for these tasks.
Who processes data for us
- Google Cloud hosts the application and provides Google sign-in, Drive delivery, and Gemini processing.
- Neon hosts the application database.
- Twilio SendGrid receives mail sent to your Logos address and sends email editions.
- Anthropic provides Claude for editorial processing.
- Apple provides Apple sign-in and, if you enable notifications, push delivery through APNs.
- Dropbox receives editions only if you connect it as a destination.
- Amazon receives editions addressed to your Kindle when you choose that delivery method.
A webhook destination you configure receives the edition and delivery information you direct Logos to send there. We do not sell personal data or share it with advertisers. Your external delivery providers handle files under their own terms and privacy policies.
Keeping, deleting, and correcting data
We keep account, source, reading, edition, connection, and delivery records while they are needed to operate Logos. Copies may remain temporarily in backups and operational logs. You can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data by writing to corey@lakonic.dev. We will review and carry out requests subject to applicable legal and operational requirements. There is currently no self-service account-deletion control in the app.
You can also revoke Google or Dropbox access in the provider's account security settings. Revocation stops future provider access; contact us if you want the stored Logos connection record removed as well.
Security and location
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Our hosting providers encrypt stored data, and Logos encrypts cloud-account refresh tokens before storing them. Our servers and database are in the United States; using Logos elsewhere involves transferring data there. No security measure eliminates every risk.
Children
Logos is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has supplied personal data, contact us so we can address it.
Changes and contact
We will update the date above when this policy changes and provide notice of material changes through the app or email when appropriate. Questions and requests go to corey@lakonic.dev.
